Today was a monumental day for Mia, her first day of 1st grade. In less than a month she graduated kindergarten and started 1st grade. She was so excited to meet her teacher and her teacher was equally excited to have another Shapiro in her class (she taught Sierra too). Mia had to have curly hair for her first day of school. It took longer than normal and we ran late but made it just in time for her to jump in line with the other kids. This meant we didn't have time for my dramatic good-bye either. Mia may have missed the tears but Jeremiah didn't. I met Sierra and Mia after school to walk home and Mia felt like such a big girl. Her favorite part of the day was lunch ~ that's my Mia!
